Founded in 1971 by Captain Jerry
The journey of Lynn A Fishing charters began in 1971, when legendary Captain Jerry founded Lynn A Fishing Charters. He was a pioneer in the industry, and quickly earned an outstanding reputation. From sponsorships, to TV shows Jerry helped form the industry into what it is today. For 54 years, the Lynn A name has been echoed as a legacy for it’s renowned service to the Sturgeon Bay fishery.
Captain Mike, the son of Captain Jerry
Family owned since 1971, Lynn A Fishing Charters gave Captain Mike the opportunity to first mate under Captain Jerry at a very young age. This allowed him to acquire his captains license early on in adulthood and work hand in hand with his father. There are few captains on Lake Michigan with the experience and knowledge that matches Captain Mike. Captain Mike is a full time Captain, offering charters 7 days per week.
The original “Lynn A”
This photo is the original Lynn A, a 38’ Pacemaker wooden hull boat. This boat fished Lake Michigan for 30 years before its retirement. She is no longer in service, but known throughout Door County, the start of a legacy.
